Featured Speaker – Alysha Ellis, Co-founder, Freshly Rooted
Alysha Ellis, Co-Founder of Freshly Rooted has partnered with the City of Cleveland, Metro Health Systems, Alliance, Women of Color Foundation and local development corporations in efforts to make our communities healthy. She has been able to develop a sustainable model for Freshly Rooted and continues to grow in her role.
In 2016, she graduated from Cleveland State University, where she majored in Urban Regional Planning and minored in Business Management and Labor Relations. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration. Upon her arrival at CSU, Alysha received her Associate Degree from Mercyhurst University in 2013.
Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to seeing the community and city healthy from all aspects of life has driven her over the years. She serves on the Advisory Committee for Food Access Raises Everyone. She also, serves on the Hispanic Liaison Advisory Board for the City of Cleveland. She recently graduated from the Hispanic Alliance Leadership Development Initiative. She has received certificates of completion from Jumpstarts Core City Impact Program, Financial Essentials for Small Businesses, Operation Hope Small Business Workshop, Entrepreneurship Education Consortium, and Leadership Training for Fostering Success Coaching from Western Michigan University.
